Maybe We Can’t Blame Robert Parker For Everything
1 Wine Dude defends the indefensible, using actual statistics about climate data and Bordeaux grape production to conclude that fatter, fruitier Bordeaux wines may not have anything to do with wine critics.
Maybe Bordeaux isn’t just chasing the big points after all – maybe Bordeaux is trending towards an “International Style”of higher alcohol and greater fruit extraction not just out of economic incentive, but also because climate change is making that style inevitable.
It’s an interesting train of thought, in which are embedded interesting facts and figures. Data, dare I say.
