Spotlight on Virginia Wines

DrinkLocalWine.com is holding its second conference this weekend in Leesburg, Virginia.  Leesburg is a little more than an hour high-and-outside of Washington D.C., if Washington D.C. were a right-handed hitter.

The highlight of the weekend is the Twitter Taste-Off, with 25 wineries participating. There are also panel discussions and tutorial sessions and all kinds of other goodies. (Schedule here.) The cost of the whole deal is $65.

The Wine Curmudgeon writes better about the event better than I do, but then he should because he’s one of the founders of the organization.

I had a Virginia wine epiphany at Christmas that cut me down to size, let me tell you.
