@Tom There are some crossed wires here. Jancis did not report that 80% of Brunello is not pure Sangiovese.

Rivella told Carlo Macchi that up until 2008, 80% of Brunello was not pure Sangiovese.

The quotes you have taken from my post are actually by Monty (who writes on Jancis’s blog) and from Arto (who writes his own blog).
